Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BrahmanRishta Pvt. Ltd. ("BrahmanRishta", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the website, mobile applications, and related services offered under the brand BrahmanRishta.com (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform in any manner, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

BrahmanRishta is a matrimonial platform intended solely for individuals seeking marriage. In keeping with the legal age of marriage prescribed under Indian law, you may register and create a profile only if:

• You are a woman of at least 18 years of age, or a man of at least 21 years of age; and
• You are legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872; and
• You are genuinely seeking matrimony for yourself, or are a parent, guardian, or close relative creating a profile on behalf of an eligible family member with their full knowledge and consent.

By registering, you represent and warrant that all information you provide regarding age, marital status, and identity is true, accurate, and not misleading. Misrepresentation of age or eligibility is a serious violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant authorities where applicable.

To use most features of the Platform, you must register for an account using a valid mobile number and/or email address. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself during registration and profile creation, including biodata, photographs, education, profession, and family details.
• Promptly update your profile if any information changes (e.g., marital status, contact details).
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and one-time passwords (OTPs), and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to verify the information you provide and to suspend or remove profiles that we reasonably believe contain false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

You agree that you will NOT, while using the Platform:

• Create fake, duplicate, impersonated, or unauthorised profiles, or create a profile for someone without their knowledge or consent (except as permitted under Section 2 for family members).
• Upload misleading photographs, including photos of another person, heavily edited images, or stock/celebrity images.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, stalk, defame, or send unwelcome, obscene, or inappropriate communications to any member.
• Solicit money, gifts, loans, or any form of payment from other members, or engage in any romance scam, dowry-related demand, or financial fraud.
• Direct other members to communicate or transact off-platform in order to circumvent BrahmanRishta's safety features, fees, or subscription requirements.
• Create or maintain multiple accounts for the same individual without our written permission.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access, copy, or extract data from the Platform.
• Post content that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or that infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
• Use the Platform for any purpose other than genuine matrimonial matchmaking, including advertising, promotions, or solicitation of business unrelated to matrimony.

Violation of any of the above may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund, and we may report serious violations (e.g., fraud, harassment) to law enforcement authorities.

BrahmanRishta offers a free membership tier and paid premium subscription plans ("Gold" and "Platinum") that unlock additional features such as unlimited interests, viewing contact details, messaging, Kundali matching, and access to a dedicated Relationship Manager.

• Gold Plan: ₹1,999 for a 3-month term.
• Platinum Plan: ₹3,999 for a 6-month term.

All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise, and are subject to change with prior notice. Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment gateway partners. By purchasing a subscription, you authorise us to charge the selected payment method for the applicable fees.

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions may be set to auto-renew at the end of the billing cycle unless cancelled by you prior to the renewal date through your account settings. You will be notified before renewal where required by law. You may manage or cancel auto-renewal at any time from Settings → Subscription.

BrahmanRishta undertakes reasonable efforts to verify member profiles, including phone number verification, optional government ID verification for the "Verified Profile" badge, and manual review of photographs and biodata for obvious red flags.

However, BrahmanRishta does not guarantee, warrant, or represent the complete accuracy, truthfulness, or current validity of any information provided by members, including but not limited to age, marital status, income, education, employment, family background, horoscope details, or photographs. Verification badges indicate that certain checks have been performed and should not be treated as a certification of character, intentions, or suitability for marriage.

You are strongly advised to conduct your own independent due diligence — including in-person meetings, background verification, and consultation with family — before making any decisions related to engagement or marriage. BrahmanRishta is a platform that facilitates introductions; it is not a party to, and assumes no responsibility for, the outcome of any relationship formed through the Platform.

All content on the Platform, including the BrahmanRishta name, logo, design, graphics, text, software, and the compilation of profile data (excluding individual member-submitted content), is the property of BrahmanRishta Pvt. Ltd. and is protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

By uploading photographs, biodata, or other content to your profile, you grant BrahmanRishta a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, and distribute such content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform's matchmaking services.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BrahmanRishta, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the Platform;
• Any interaction, communication, meeting, engagement, or marriage arising from a connection made on the Platform;
• Any inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent information provided by another member;
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data, despite our reasonable security measures.

The Platform and all services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, provided false information, engaged in prohibited conduct, or for any reason we deem necessary to protect the safety and integrity of our community. You may also deactivate or permanently delete your account at any time via Settings → Account. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any unused subscription period except as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, such disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice, along with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
